My "Piano Man" this is a song about making a living out of singing songs. I wrote this in no time flat, it just flowed from the chorus with it's other worldly chord progression (well for me anyway). Seemed the story had been gestating, waiting to be told. It made the semis at Tamworth a couple of years ago with 2 out of 3 judges marking it hi 90's out of a hundred & one knocking me out with a 70 - go figure, he said it lacked originality!! - it's a country song fer Chrissake :)
